Broken Yolk Cafe, open for breakfast, lunch and brunch and known for amazing eggs benedicts, homemade omelets to traditional and trendy lunch dishes that appeal to everyone, is seeking a Restaurant Manager at one of our (3) locations in Orange County - Costa Mesa. This position will lead and engage restaurant team members in creating an exceptional culinary and service experience and is a key role assisting the General Manager for the financial health and profitability as well as driving a culture of excellence and creating strategic plans to build sales.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Commitment to creating the most compelling guest experience possible
  • Assist with management and guidance to all employees in the restaurant
  • Ensure company values are being upheld by maintaining a thriving and positive company culture
  • Assist with management of restaurant day to day operations
  • Drive sales and execute sales building initiatives
  • Responsible for all food and beverage quality, service and cleanliness standards within the restaurant
  • Responsible for monthly Profit and Loss statement results and required action
  • Assist the General Manager with recruiting, hiring, training and developing high quality team members
  • Work with marketing department on creating and executing marketing initiatives and successful events and activations
  • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend promotions or corrective actions when necessary
  • Ensure that operational and training standards are consistently followed and executed
  • Respond to guest concerns, both written and verbal, with the ability to creatively solve problems


  • 3 + years of proven success working in a restaurant with progressive experience in management roles 
  • Prior restaurant management experience; fast food/fast casual preferred
  • Strong work ethic and high personal standards for quality of work
  • Working knowledge of financials and budgets, operations and marketing 
  • Experience in talent management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Organized, team player who is considerate and able to work well with others with ability to coach and develop others, resolve conflict and promote teamwork and performance management
  • Self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks with a sense of urgency
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word) 
  • Willingness to learn and accommodate industry changes and company directives
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to regularly lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds


Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing, and repetitive hand and wrist motion; working with and around hot, cold, and hazardous equipment in a fast paced and congested environment that will occasionally be loud, hot, cold and/or physically demanding. Must also have the ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds. Position could require occasional travel that may consist of driving for a period of one or more days therein requiring one or more overnight stays; notice of travel may be given with very short notice. Position requires occasional training that may take place on or off-site, by phone and/or online.
