Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Plumber to provide all aspects of plumbing services to our customers. High levels of customer service and a timely response to all service calls are a critical part of this position and help ensure our continued success as a company.

The work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 until 4 p.m., and on-call rotation for after-hours service calls (one rotating evening per week and one Sat/Sun weekend every other month). We offer a competitive hourly wage based on skill set, experience and willingness to complete any and all tasks assigned.

Responsibilities

  • All aspects of plumbing services, including diagnostics, repair, replacement
  • Perform repairs, installations, and maintenance of water, gas, and sewer lines and systems
  • Operate hand and power tools associated with the plumbing trade.
  • Operate in a safe manner to prevent physical injuries
  • Knowledge and understanding of common causes of sewer backups and knowledge of drain cleaning equipment and processes.
  • Maintain both truck and inventory in an orderly manner
  • Must work within all guidelines of company safety and work policies
  • Accurately complete time cards and paperwork associated with the day’s activities
  • Provide superior and responsive customer service
  • Offer the customer options and solutions for preventative maintenance
  • Monitor, follow up, and document all assigned jobs to ensure customer needs are met
  • Communicate and establish rapport with our customers
  • Follow standardized procedures
  • Accurately invoice for materials used to maintain inventory supply on the service truck
  • Be part of the on-call rotation to take care of customers after hours as needed. Rotation is one rotating evening a week and one Saturday/Sunday every other month
  • Continue to increase skill level & knowledge of the different plumbing systems that may be encountered as well as conventional methods to repair and service these systems

Qualifications

  • Desire to learn and grow in the plumbing industry
  • Positive attitude and a desire to help people in the community
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the plumbing field
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job as listed below
  • Ability to work independently and ask the team for help when needed.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Self-motivated and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to document your work and talk to customers
  • Possess good people skills and technical ability
  • Team-player mindset with a positive attitude and ability to collaborate effectively with the team
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with good time management skills
  • Must be comfortable using modern technology to document jobs and related work activity
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
