Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team at our Vista corporate office. This position works with the Controller and CFO and will assist in the day to day operations of the accounting department. 


  • Assist in managing day to day operations of the accounting department
  • Work with the Controller and CFO to establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Prepare monthly and annual operating budgets
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial statements
  • Prepare investor reporting packages and ad hoc reporting requests
  • Work with outside auditors and accountants on financial audits and tax reporting and compliance
  • Work with the Controller and CFO on additional accounting functions as assigned


  • 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive accounting experience required 
  • Experience in the services industry in California is a plus
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite and High Proficiency in Excel skills required 
  • Strong proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices and standards; GAAP is required
  • Experience with Quickbooks or other accounting software  
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organized, team player who is considerate and able to work well with others
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic with high personal standards for quality of work
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass a background and drug test
